About Event
The James Webb Space Telescope is NASA’s next major space observatory. With its 20-foot (6-meter) diameter mirror and its vantage point 1 million miles (1.5 million kilometers) away from the Earth, it will study everything from the earliest stars in the history of the universe, to planets orbiting other stars, and asteroids in our own Solar System. To get a sense of how this telescope works and what will be some of the science it will do first, come hear our two guests who are involved in both building and using the telescope.
This show was originally broadcast live on December 9, 2021 @ 4 PM (ET) / 1 PM (PT).
