AstroViz Community Meetup: Dec 2023

Join Jen Christiansen (senior GD at Scientific American), Brian Tatosky (VFX Supervisor for Star Trek) and Kalina Borkiewicz (director of NCSA) for a discussion on visual storytelling and more.

Story plays a central role in communication, but how does it interact 
with visualization? How do we shape our visuals to enhance a story, and how does a story change to mesh better with visuals? Our panel explores many aspects of that challenge from their personal perspectives in different fields. This was captured from a Zoom stream on December 7, 2023.

After the panel discussion, two short talks explore immersive astronomy experiences, and open source astronomy visualization software.
