Visions of the Universe Exhibit

About Educational Resource

Visions of the Universe: Four Centuries of Discovery portrays our changing views of the universe through time with images and text. The exhibit includes 12 panels that feature key astronomical discoveries over a 400-year period – beginning with the first astronomical use of a telescope by Galileo. The exhibit also highlights the technological advancements that made these discoveries possible. Exhibit topics range from celestial objects within our own “cosmic backyard” – the Sun, the Moon, Mars, and Saturn – to those beyond the realm of our solar system, including stars, nebulae, and galaxies. This exhibit is made up of 12 PDF poster files that each represent an exhibit panel. Each poster measures 19 inches wide by 34 inches tall. The PDFs are large, high-resolution files intended for professional print center output.
