This activity allows participants to practice making observations and conveying ideas while crafting a poem, short story, or song about astronomical images, illustrations, artworks, tactile plates, and/or sonifications depicting stars and exoplanets. Participants will learn that:
- Careful observation is an important skill in both science and art.
- Interpretation is shaped by perspective, context, and prior knowledge.
- Collaboration and iteration are important in both science and storytelling.
